The Settings pane lets you personalize many aspects of the appearance and functionality in Notebooks. It is available by tapping the cogwheel button in the lop left corner of the top level book.

Use Custom Colors

When ON, you can define your own  background and font colors. In addition, you can select a background image or background pattern from your albums. (A set of images and patterns are available in our download area). When OFF, Notebooks uses it default patterns and colors. (HTML documents have no background pattern with this setting)

Select the number of documents that should be listed in the “Recent Items” smart book. Select zero to hide the smart book.

Time Stamps

Here you can select the date and time formats that should be available when tapping the time stamp button while editing notes.

More details are available in an extra section.

WiFi Sharing

Turn on this option to activate the “Share Book” function in a book’s context menu. You should define a custom username and password (you are free to choose whatever you like) that needs to be entered when connecting to Notebooks from a computer.

WebDAV

Turn this option ON if you want to synchronize Notebooks with a WebDAV service like Apple’s MobileMe. Before you can start, please add the details in Change WebDAV Settings.

More details are available in an extra section.

SyncDocs

Decide if you want to use SyncDocs. When ON, option to import, export and synchronize will be available for books and notes, otherwise the options will be hidden.

Print with WePrint

When ON, the action menu will provide the option to print the current document through WePrint. It is required, though, that you have one of EuroSmartz’ printing applications (Print, Print & Share or DocPrinter) installed to activate this option.

Send to OmniFocus

When ON, the action menu will provide an option to send the current note (or the currently selected text) to OmniFocus and create a new task. You need to have OmniFocus installed to activate this option.

Enable TextExpander

When you have TextExpander touch installed on your iPhone or iPod touch you can use it in Notebooks by enabling it here. TextExpander works in Plain Text documents and when adding new books or changing the titles of documents in the info view. We are working on providing full functionality for rich text documents, too.
