The Note’s Toolbar
Most icons in the toolbar should be familiar if you have used the Mail app.
Tap the Info button to reveal information about the current note: its title, which you can changed, date and time of the latest change and, for plain text notes, the word and character count. For other types of notes you will see the file size instead.
When protection is globally enabled a switch to turn on protection for this note is visible.
Tap the button labeled Change current font to change the font for this note. This does not change the standard font which is set in Notebooks’ Settings.
When in a task list, you can also set a task’s due date from the info view.
Tap the Move button to bring up a list of all available books that you could move the current note to.
Tap the Delete button to delete the current note.
CAUTION: THERE IS NO TRASH CAN - DELETING A NOTE IS FINAL!
Tap the Action button to bring up a menu of actions. Depending on the type of document you are looking at, the menu may vary. The most important options are:
-Convert to Task List: available for plain text notes only, this option creates a new task list with the title of the note and moves this note onto the list. This is a convenient shortcut if you have collected a series of tasks in a single note and want to convert that to a task list.
-Task from Selection: creates a new task with the currently selected text as title. This option is available for plain text notes that are stored in a task list, when you have text selected
-Duplicate: creates an exact copy of the note, which may be handy for templates, or if you just want to have several versions of a note.
-Copy as Plain Text: HTML documents, this option copies the note and strips off all formatting. Can be handy if you want to revert a list to a normal text note.
-Copy Link: this copies the link or URL of the current note to the pasteboard (works for books as well). You can then paste the link into a different note in Notebooks or in another application on your iPhone or iPad. If the application supports it, the link will be tappable and open the original document in Notebooks.
This also works within Notebooks and lets you create index documents or cross-references.
-Send by Mail: send all types of documents without leaving Notebooks.
-Export (with SyncDocs enabled): transfers this note to your computer via SyncDocs (You find more about export in an extra section of this documentation.)
-Print: with any of the apps Print, Print & Share or DocPrinter installed you can print notes and documents directly from Notebooks (see http://mobile.eurosmartz.com)
-Send to OmniFocus: this option appears only if you have OmniFocus installed and will create a new task in OmniFocus from the current note (or currently selelected text)
Tap the Compose button to open a new note and start writing. Notebooks takes the first line of text as the title, but you can change it anytime in the info view.
