Import Your Notes from the iPhone/iPad Notes App
The iPhone and iPod touch do not allow to directly import notes that you have already created in the native Notes application. With a few steps, however, you can quickly and easily transfer them into Notebooks:
-Back up your iPhone or iPod touch through iTunes
-Download the iPhone Backup Extractor for Mac
-Launch the application and click Read Backups
-Choose the latest backup
-From the presented list, choose iPhone OS Files and click Extract
-Select a location to store the extracted files
On a PC you could use mobilesync-inspect, the procedure for extracting the notes.db file is a bit different, but explained in the Readme file.
In the chosen location you will now find a folder “iPhone OS FIles”. In this folder, go to Library -> Notes and import the file notes.db into Notebooks. You can do so by:
-dropping the file into a shared book (see WiFi Sharing)
-putting the file on a WebDAV server and synchronize Notebooks
-importing the file with SyncDocs
-putting the file into your SyncDocs or WebDAV sync folder and synchronize
Notebooks shows the document notes.db with a generic icon. When you open it by tapping on its name, Notebooks will extract the notes into the new book iPhone Notes. The notes.db file will be deleted.
